Sarbani Bublu Thakur-Weigold '88
Dr. Sarbani Bublu Thakur-Weigold was the first South Asian woman to receive an SB from the Sloan School of Management. Thakur-Weigold graduated from MIT with a degree in Management Science in 1988 and was also a Burchard Humanities Scholar.
Thakur-Weigold completed her Master’s degree from Georgia Tech and her Ph.D. in Economics and International Relations at the University of Economics, Prague. Trained as an industrial engineer, she gathered over 20 years of supply chain experience in industry and consulting before joining the HumOSCM Lab at ETH Zurich, where she is the Associate Director of Programs and Chair of Logistics Management.
