Kshitish Chandra Basu 1915, SM 1916
Kshitish Chandra Basu '15, SM '16 was born on September 26, 1888 in Howrah, India. He attended Howrah Zilla School before earning his Bachelor's degree at Presidency College, Calcutta. In 1913, Basu arrived at MIT, where he earned another Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master's degree the following year with the thesis "Force Fits". He went on to pursue another Master's in Science from Harvard University before he returned to Calcutta, where he worked as an engineer, surveyor, and valuer.
